Hugo les Paul Standard '59 (1990) HC, EC, rare Gibson '59 Keith Richard clone!
This eye catching beauty is modeled after the 1959 Gibson Les Paul guitar formerly owned by keith Richard, it’s a Sunburst finish 59er Maple top in amazing pinstripe and cherry faded color. Check out page 39 of " 50 Years of the Gibson Les Paul" there a nice picture of Keith Richards guitar that shows almost the same color and a very similar pinstripe top. You can't come closer to this. Body and neck are made of 60 year old Honduras Mahogany. Just the way Gibson made them in the 50s, 22 fret Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl inlays, Gibson logo inlayed to head, with TIM SHAW Humbucking "patent applied for picks and Original 1959 PAF covers and original Gibson ABR1 Tuneomatic bridge. The obvious Bigsby tailpiece that was on it before left a nice shade to the top. Comes with les Paul brown hardshell case. If your into lets pauls you know this is a remarkable guitar. This 1991 ’59 ’Burst replica is one of the most awesome Burst you will ever see, made by the man that fooled the vintage world with Andy Powell’s (Wishbone Ash) 1958 Flying V and one of the most dedicated Luthiers i ever met, passion and perfection are his keywords. This is the ultimate "Burst". A killer looking and sounding guitar that is much closer to the real thing than any modern VOS, Gloss, ’Max’, ’Keebler’ or ’Derrig’...... A eyecatching beauty. Not only the best looking LP i ever seen, but also Accelerating on my 1965 JTM-45! Unbeatable Genuine Old wood tone times Genius, Passion and craftmanship! A part of the secret is that it is made of old growth Honduran Mahogany that seasoned for at least 50+ years! Like in the old time pre-1960 Gibson's were and nowadays Gibsons are NOT! Well it makes a Big difference i can tell you! This particular guitar has a faded Cherry burst that aged so perfectly that no one would doubt this to be other than "the genuine thing" The original Celluloid bindings contribute to the thought. The neck is fat and something between a 58 and 59, Every detail is thought over up to the Patented Tim Shaw era PAF and the holes for the Bigsby. The outstanding Bookmatched Pinstripe TOP shows not only a magnificent Faded Cherry but also honest wear and checking that beets all Murphy aging, as it is so much more genuine. This must be one of the best LP you ever get the chance to play. Approx. 4.3Kg- 9lbs. Feels, looks and sounds like a 50 year old guitar. For a mere fragment of the price of an original you buy a guitar that gives you the tone and feel a 1960 GIBSON les Paul Standard.
