Gerome Gypsy D hole. This a all original, gypsy style guitar from the late 30's. There is a vague pencil date insided the guitar claiming it is 1939, But its very vague. Anyway it is around 1939-1945 for sure. The guitar features a solid spruce top, flame maple laminated Back/sides - for all of you that are not familiar with Gypsy guitars- Gypsy Guitars come with laminate back/sides to provide that twangy-cut through tone, also for instant Selmer and Favino guitars were equipped with laminate back/sides. This particular guitar features is basically a flattop and arched back. The body is bound in maple, ebony fingerboard, 8ply black/white purfling on top, 0-fret, 48.5mm (1&7/8") width at nut, 645mm (25.4") scale, This guitar in Very good/excellent condition except for a repaired crack to the left side of the top and honest playwear and changed tuners. The Guitar provides great tone, snappy, loud, piercing through your ears but with greath warmth and dynamics. It shows lots of wear but is basically very sound and structually excellent condition with all original finish. The t-bar frets are replaced for vintage style rounded frets and only show minimal wear. No buzzing. excellent playabillity and action. Comes with a case. Consignment guitar.
