Atkin Guitars was founded in Canterbury, England, in 1995. Since then, they've grown steadily from a one-man operation building a handful of one-of-a-kind instruments each year to become one of the UK’s leading acoustic guitar makers. Still in Canterbury, now a two-man operation, they build around 80 guitars a year, each one still handmade and still completely unique. The passion and soul with which these instruments are built make their way straight to the eyes and ears, and make it hard not to fall in love with these outstanding sounding and great looking beauties.

The Atkin Essential OM-37 Relic is one of the most amazing guitars in our stock and based on one of the most legendary steel string acoustic guitar designs of all time, the traditional 1937 orchestra model. OM18, the Alister Atkins vision of the classic OM features an Atkin based baked / torrified Sitka Spruce top in combination with Mahogany back and sides, and you can hear the difference i promise you!.this tonewood combination gives the guitar a full and focused sound with great tonal dynamics and great response. The Mahogany neck has been fitted with an Ebony fingerboard and 44.5mm (1 3/4") nutwidth, which makes this a perfectly comfortable guitar for either intricate fingerpicking or strumming. This is the very first Atkin Essential OM Alister made, and the greatest feature is hands down the aging treatment. This means the guitar has been aged from both the inside and outside in the most authentic and vintage way which contributes to the superb projection and the rich, full tone. 645mm (25.4") scale length, 57mm (2 1/4").  Includes hardshell case.
