Dynelectron Longhorn 4 bass sunburst 1960s

Dynelectron bass made by Italian company Meazzi in the late 60s. This is a pretty close - some might say "blatant" - copy of the American made Danelectro "Longhorn" bass. A really well constructed instrument, very lightweight thanks to the chambered body and with a great vintage sound and character. The instrument is all original condition including the electronics, two lipstick pickups and bridge with compensated rosewood saddle. The frets are also still original and are high enough to ensure a nice playable setup. These instruments have all but faded into obscurity despite the fact that Walter Becker from Steely Dan used to play on of these Dynelectron longhorn basses for quite some time. And who can blame him, the two lipstick pickups sound great and the playability of this light-weight bass is superb. The condition is very good, a new strap button was installed on the upper horn and it has some very minor playwear and signs of use considering it's age. Comes with a newer tweed hardshell case.
