Gibson ES175D Sunburst 1965-68

Gibson ES-175D from 1965-68, all original except for the tuners. Due to its enduring appeal “ a blend of comfortable playability and warm sonic versatility with presence to spare “ the ES-175 has found its way into the hands and hearts of generations of players.

Just like any other ES175D from the same era it features laminated maple back, sides and top, a 3-piece maple neck, sunburst top finish and walnut stained back and neck, bound rosewood fretboard with split parallelogram inlays, ES175 tailpiece, tune-o-matic bridge with rosewood base and a pair of patent no. humbucking pickups. The instrument is almost entirely original down to the frets with the exception of one tone potmeter which has been replaced. Condition is "Good"; expected playwear and signs of use, has a patch repair surrounding the output jack. The tailpiece is also missing a few screws, the finish of the headstock has some heavy "chipping" and there are a few extra holes in the headstock from other tuners. Plays and sounds extremely well. Includes vintage Guild hardshell case.
