Gibson F25 Folksinger LG2 1965

Gibson F25 Folksinger from 1965. Made between 1963 and 1971 this striking model was, as the name already implies, designed to attract folk players in the early '60s. While the B-series of acoustic guitars replaced the LG series in the early to mid-1960s, Gibson introduced this unique model which featured a 00-sized classical body shape, non-compensated saddle and a wide neck with flat radius rosewood fingerboard. To enhance intonation and playability this instrument was fitted with a compensated saddle and the fretboard got a light 20" radius and lovely new frets. This stunning little guitar is very comfortable to play thanks to the wide neck,  while the combination of solid Mahogany and X-braced spruce supplies you with an impressive sustain and warm, vintage and robust tonal character. Visually this guitar is very recognisable thanks to the dual white pickguard protecting the finish. This vintage guitar is in Very Good condition; A very clean vintage specimen with expected signs of use and beautiful weather checking in the finish, the back of the neck has some overspray and the endpin hole has been enlarged to fit a jack. Includes vintage hardshell case.
