Manuel Contreras 1 Doblo Tapa 25th Anniversario 1994

This Manuel Contreras I Doblo Tapa 24th Anniversario from 1994 is an extremely rare instrument of which only very few were ever made. This fact only makes it Museum-grade, but in addition to that it was also signed and made by none other than Manuel Contreras I. Manuel Contreras I was one of the biggest and well-known master builders from the 20th century. This guitar is the perfect showcase for his expertise, skill and innovative way of thinking. The instrument boasts double Solid Brazilian Back and (partially) sides. Although this might seem a bit decadent, it certainly a great attributor to the super powerful, open sound and extraordinary projection. The theory behind this is that you own body does not directly come in contact with the body of the guitar, allowing the tonewoods to freely resonate. The top was crafted using solid "Mastergrade" Canadian cedar, a perfect match to the Brazilian Rosewood. The guitar also has a Brazilian rosewood bridge and headstock overlay, ebony fingerboard, rosewood body bindings, single golpeador and top-qulity Fustero tuners. Condition is "Very Good"; the guitar is perfectly clean for its age with some minor playwear and several small dings in the finish of both the body and neck. Includes harshell case.
