Martin OM28 Authentic 1931 VTS Mint 2015

Martin makes some great OM's, but one of their best renditions of this legendary model has to be the OM28 Authentic 1931 with VTS baked Adirondack top. This guitar (this specific guitar was made in 2015) was based on the original 1931 OM-28 owned by folk legend Mike Seeger. Features include Madagascar rosewood back and sides, vintage gloss finish and an Adirondack spruce top and braces which have been treated with Martin's Vintage Tone System (VTS) used to replicate the aged appearance and tonality of the 1931 original. This special heat treatment accelerates the aging properties in the tonewood, resulting in tone that is broken in from the start.

Other noteworthy, vintage correct features include a full hide glue construction, T-Bar neck reinforcement, ebony bridge with long saddle, herringbone purfling, short-pattern diamond-and-squares fingerboard inlay, small teardrop pickguard and very comfortable mahogany neck with Authentic 1931 Barrel and Heel shape. The sound is truly on par with the vintage originals; complex, integer and warm with an impressive dynamic character. This 2015 specimen is in mint condition and comes with the original Harptone hardshell case.
