Martinez Torres 1889

Antonio Torres was born in Spain, and one of the 19th century's most important guitar makers. He formed the Modern guitar making industry and has a profound impact. Even today, 100 years later, luthiers still regard his work as a model, even as Bible like worship. Father of modern guitar Francisco Tai Leijia use is a 1864 Torres guitar, Tailei Jia has used this guitar for 25 years.

This Martinez Torres 1889 is based on one of Antonio Torres later classical prototype models. This model has a clear and pure sound, with an incredible dynamic range and distinct character thanks to the unique set of features which include a shorter 640mm (25 3/16") scale length, a solid spruce top, solid maple back and sides, fan bracing, ebony fingerboard, and beautiful wooden detailling. This is a wonderful tribute to the master's works, all dimensions are consistent with the prototype. Includes hardshell case.
