Ricardo Sanchis Carpio 2AF 1996

Ricardo Sanchis Carpio's grandfather, Ricardo Sanchis Nacher, was trained by Manuel Ramirez and Domingo Esteso before setting up his own workshop in 1915. Under Ricardo Sanchis Carpio this family workshop based in Valencia acquired an international reputation, both for flamenco and classical guitars. This 1996 classical guitar was made using carefully selected tonewoods with Spanish cypress back and sides and a cedar top. It has a powerful sound, singing trebles, with good sustain and great vibrato — all of which make it beautifully expressive.

This guitar is very clean for its age but has the expected traces of playwear and several small dings on the body. There are two small, but deeper marks on the top.
