The Fellowship of Acoustics (TFOA), based in Dedemsvaart, is Europe’s leading specialist in vintage, high-end and rare guitars. TFOA has been in business for 25 years and has grown into a world-renowned mecca for guitarists and collectors. We also carry out high-quality repairs and can adjust any guitar to the customer’s specifications.

We are looking for an experienced guitar repair technician for our shop. As a guitar repair technician, you’ll act as a point of contact for customers regarding playing issues and carry out repairs to a high technical standard.

What does the job involve?

·    You’ll welcome customers in a polite and professional manner;
·    You are independent and able to work as part of a team;
·    You will carry out set-ups and adjust guitars for sale;
·    You will carry out repairs and maintenance on both electric and acoustic guitars, as well as other stringed instruments (nylon-string guitars, banjos, mandolins, etc.);
·    You will liaise with customers by telephone and in writing.

We require:

·    You are a team player;
·    You are available for at least 24 hours per week or full-time;
·    Working on Saturdays is not a problem;
·    You have relevant work experience or a qualification that matches the requirements of the vacancy.
·    You have at least MBO+ level of working and thinking
·    You can cope well under pressure;
·    You are precise and meticulous, but also work efficiently;
·    You have good communication and writing skills;
·    You live in the region or are willing to move to the region (commuting time of no more than 1 hour)
·    You have experience with guitar set-ups, levelling, refretting, minor gluing jobs and fitting pickups. You are familiar with the electronics of a standard electric guitar;
·    Broad general knowledge of guitars is desirable; a willingness to delve deeper into the trade and to acquire new knowledge is essential;
