As the most popular steel-string guitar of all time, the dreadnought is a true design classic. The Atkin Dreadnought is based on the classic pre-war models from the 1930s. They have been building and repairing this style of guitar for years, and just like with the J45, every vintage example they have worked on has taught them something new.

With its deep body and scalloped bracing, the Atkin Dreadnought produces an incredibly strong, full sound. It is one of the best-sounding guitars Atkin makes, and it really stands out when playing alongside other instruments, live or in the studio. The checking on this 'Aged' version gives the baked Sitka spruce top a true vintage feel.

Aside from some light playing marks on the pickguard, this 2024 Atkin is virtually indistinguishable from a new guitar. Simply a wonderful guitar that will provide you with a lot of playing pleasure!
