Atkin Guitars was founded in Canterbury, England, in 1995. What started as a one-man operation producing only a handful of unique guitars each year has steadily grown into one of the most successful acoustic guitar brands in England. Now with two people and still based in Canterbury, they build approximately 80 guitars each year, each one still unique and fully handmade. The passion with which these instruments are made shines through, and it's hard not to fall in love with both the sound and the appearance.
This LG47 "The Forty Seven" is once again a hit with a "baked" Sitka spruce top and a 'Relic' sunburst finish. This instrument, clearly inspired by vintage guitars, is everything a singer-songwriter needs; fingerstyle, strumming, vocal accompaniment, it's all no problem. It is therefore not surprising that these guitars have found their way into the heart of the Dutch and Belgian singer-songwriter community, with notable figures such as Daniël Lohues, Douwe Bob, and Maurice van Hoek.
Comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
