Dommenget Single Cut Redburst 2002

Boris Dommenget is one of Germany's most respected luthiers, a builder whose electric guitars are prized for their craftsmanship and their beautiful, musical voices. This Single Cut from 2002 is a lovely example of his work: his take on the classic single-cutaway format, finished in a deep, glowing Redburst that shows off a gorgeous flamed maple top.

The recipe here is a familiar one done exceptionally well: a solid mahogany body capped with a carved maple top, and a mahogany neck set into it for warmth, sustain and the rich, singing tone this format is loved for. It is built to the standard you would expect from a boutique German workshop, with tasteful cream binding on both body and neck and abalone dot inlays along a rosewood fingerboard.

This 2002 example is in very good condition. Over the years it has picked up some honest playwear, with light scratches and a few small dings here and there across the body and neck, and a few marks on the headstock, including a couple of small dents on its front and back. It comes supplied in a hardshell case.

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
