The Eastman FV880CE is the signature archtop of jazz virtuoso Frank Vignola, an instrument designed for players who want the warmth and projection of a classic carved archtop combined with the refinement of Eastman's modern workmanship.

Eastman has built its reputation on hand-carved archtops that offer the look, feel and tone of far more expensive instruments, and the FV880CE is a clear example of that philosophy. Developed together with Frank Vignola, one of the most respected jazz guitarists of his generation, this model brings together traditional archtop building with the exact specifications a working player asks for. The elegant sunburst finish over a solid flamed maple body underlines its classic character.

The guitar is built around a solid, tight-grained spruce top and a solid flamed maple body, hand-carved for the open, resonant voice that defines a great archtop. The mahogany neck with its comfortable C profile carries an ebony fingerboard, while the ebony adjustable bridge, ebony tailpiece and ebony pickguard add to the refined, all-natural aesthetic. A Johnny Smith Lollar neck pickup delivers the warm, woody jazz tone the model is known for, with straightforward volume and tone controls keeping everything intuitive.

This 2024 Eastman is in excellent condition and looks very clean. It shows only minimal playwear in the form of scratches and a few tiny dents. It comes supplied in a hardshell case with a Certificate of Authenticity and TFOA Passport.
