The Epiphone 1964 SG Standard with Maestro Vibrola Reissue is built with remarkable attention to vintage accuracy and brings the feel of the original model back to life. Its two piece mahogany body with centre seam and period correct bevels pairs with a one piece mahogany neck featuring a long neck tenon, a construction choice that enhances resonance, sustain and overall stability. This creates the lively acoustic response and balanced feel that defined the original 1964 SG, making this reissue a strong performer both in the studio and on stage.

At the heart of the sound are two USA made Gibson Custombucker humbuckers with Alnico 3 magnets. These pickups deliver the open and dynamic voice associated with early sixties PAF style tones, offering everything from warm clean sounds to rich and harmonically complex overdrive. The pickups are hand wired with CTS potentiometers, Black Beauty paper in oil capacitors and Switchcraft components to ensure tonal authenticity and long term reliability. The Maestro Vibrola tailpiece completes the vintage experience with smooth and musical vibrato that maintains tuning stability. Its elegant nickel finish and traditional lyre engraving echo the aesthetic of the original design.
