Fender Custom Shop Telecaster Artisan Dual P90 2023

This Fender Custom Shop Telecaster Artisan Dual P90 from 2023 is a stunning example of the Custom Shop's Artisan series, where Fender pairs its classic designs with rare and exotic tonewoods. Finished natural to show off a gorgeous burl maple top over a Michigan mahogany body, it is as much a piece of art as it is a working guitar.

The Artisan series is all about showcasing premium figured woods, and this Telecaster delivers. The burl maple top sits over a Michigan mahogany body with herringbone purfling and tortoise binding for an elegant, almost acoustic level of detail, while the flame maple neck with its rosewood fingerboard and comfortable 60's Oval C profile feels fast and familiar. Vintage style tuners with tortoise buttons tie the whole aesthetic together.

Rather than traditional Tele single coils, this one is loaded with a pair of Fender Custom P90s, giving it a fatter, grittier and more vocal voice than a standard Telecaster while keeping plenty of that signature snap and clarity. Wired to a master volume, tone and three way switch, it moves from warm, round neck tones to cutting, aggressive bridge sounds with ease. The mahogany and burl maple pairing adds warmth and resonance, and at just 2.9 kg it is wonderfully light and comfortable to play, while a three saddle sawed off ashtray bridge keeps it rooted in Tele tradition.

It is in excellent condition, showing some scratches on the pickguard, along with a small ding and some very light scratches on the back of the body. It comes with its COA, Fender Custom Shop case candy, a hardshell case and a TFOA Passport.
