Fender MIJ 62 Vintage Reissue Stratocaster Candy Apple Red 1994

Fender Japan's Vintage Reissue series has long been prized for pairing classic Fender specifications with the exceptional quality of Japanese craftsmanship. This ST62 from 1994 is a particularly attractive example, finished in eye-catching Candy Apple Red with a rosewood fingerboard and the classic three-single-coil Stratocaster layout.

Built as a faithful recreation of the 1962 Stratocaster, it features an alder body, a maple neck with a 60s C profile and a rosewood fingerboard, complete with vintage-style appointments throughout. The 7.25" fingerboard radius and traditional neck shape give it the familiar feel of an early-sixties Strat, while the six-point synchronised tremolo and vintage-style tuners round out the period-correct spec.

What really sets this example apart is its set of American Vintage Stratocaster single-coils. These USA-made pickups deliver the clear, bell-like chime and articulate midrange that define the classic Stratocaster voice, with plenty of that glassy top-end sparkle. This guitar is in very good condition and has clearly seen some playing over the years. There are a few dings on the body, some scratches on the pickguard and a small chip on the end of the headstock, but these are honest signs of use on a guitar that has been well looked after and still plays great.
