This ES335 is equipped with every feature you would want to see on a guitar like this. The two humbuckers make this guitar particularly versatile, offering you sounds ranging from warm blues to ripping rock 'n' roll. The laminated maple body ensures that feedback is reduced to a minimum, making this guitar extremely suitable for the stage. The guitar further stands out with its long pickguard and fingerboard featuring dot inlays but without binding. The neck has a sturdy C-shaped profile, providing excellent grip.

The Gibson ES335 marks a turning point in the guitar world: it was the first semi-hollow electric guitar with a solid center block, intended to combine the warm, resonant character of a hollowbody with the sustain and feedback control of a solidbody. With its double cutaways, thin body, and elegant binding, it offered both comfort and style. The ’58 ES335 is seen as the beginning of one of Gibson’s most influential and versatile designs ever.

Over the years, Gibson has built its guitars at various locations, with each separate division having a specialist function in the production process. This ES335 comes from Memphis, Tennessee. Semi-acoustic guitar models were built here since the opening in 2000, until this location closed in 2019.

This ES335 was built in 2017 and is a guitar that has already covered quite a few miles. Play marks and dings can be found on the top, body, and neck, and a line runs through the finish from the bass side of the tailpiece. A broken-in and resonant guitar on its way to becoming a real player!
