Gretsch G6122S Country Classic I Walnut 1992

The Gretsch G6122S Country Classic I from 1992 is a stylish hollow body that combines the distinctive Gretsch sound with a classic appearance. The single-cutaway design makes it the counterpart to the double-cutaway Country Classic II.

The laminated maple body delivers a lively, resonant sound with clear overtones, an open midrange, and a warm bass response. The two Filter’Tron pickups add their signature combination of definition, sparkle, and dynamics, offering plenty of versatility for a wide range of playing styles.

The maple neck features a comfortable C profile, an ebony fingerboard, pearloid thumbnail inlays, and cream binding. The gold hardware, Walnut finish, and Bigsby vibrato give this Country Classic an unmistakable vintage appearance. The roller bridge helps keep string tension smooth and balanced when using the vibrato. With individual volume controls for both pickups, a master volume, and a master tone, the guitar also offers extensive options for shaping its sound.

This Gretsch is in excellent condition. There are signs of playwear and dings on the top, body, and neck, along with some wear on the gold-colored hardware. A characterful hollow body from 1992, it comes with its original hardshell case, certificate, documentation, and TFOA Passport.

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
