Heritage H555 Custom Sunburst Curly Maple 2010

The Heritage H555 is one of the most luxurious semi-hollowbody models in the Heritage Guitars range. Like all Heritage instruments, this 2010 model was hand-built at the legendary factory at 225 Parsons Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where former Gibson employees continued their craftsmanship after Gibson had left the city.

The H555 combines the classic elegance of an American semi-hollowbody with high-quality materials, including a body of beautiful curly maple, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard. The Old Style Sunburst finish accentuates the beautiful grain of the maple wood and gives the guitar a timeless look.

Thanks to the semi-hollow construction with a solid center block, the H555 offers the warm, open character of a hollowbody, but with more sustain and significantly less feedback at higher volumes. The humbuckers deliver a wide tonal palette with warm, round cleans, a rich mid-range response, and sufficient definition for blues, jazz, rock, and fusion. Luxury details such as the multi-layer binding, mother-of-pearl and abalone fingerboard inlays, and the elegant wooden pickguard underscore the exclusive character of this top model.

This 2010 Heritage H555 Custom is a stunning example of the traditional craftsmanship for which Heritage is renowned worldwide. The guitar has a ding on both the top and the pickguard, along with a lacquer chip on the back of the horn on the treble side. There are a few small dings on the back of the neck, and some discoloration in the lacquer can be found on the neck binding. The nut is raised, and some very small dents can be found on the body binding.

Overall, however, the guitar is exceptionally clean and is simply a beautiful instrument! For lovers of American boutique guitars, the H555 is a particularly stylish alternative to the classic semi-hollowbody models from the same tradition.
