Iris MS00 Burst Relic

The MS00 takes its name from Mark Stutman, the founder of Folkway Music. Stutman is renowned as the leading expert on vintage Gibsons and is also an exceptional luthier.

Iris Guitars, based in Burlington, Vermont, was founded in 2018 under the auspices of Circle Strings. Iris works with a team of passionate guitar enthusiasts, led by experienced luthiers Adam Buchwald and Dale Fairbanks, to build modern guitars with a vintage sound and look.

Iris guitars benefit from the vast expertise of luthiers who have worked on high-end instruments from makers such as Circle Strings, Froggy Bottom Guitars, and Fairbanks Guitars; consequently, Iris offers incredible value for money. These guitars feel like a trusted companion you’ve played for years, and they sound truly fabulous.

The guitar features a mahogany body and a Sitka spruce top, producing a magnificent sound that defies the instrument's relatively compact size. Thanks to its short 24.75-inch scale length, it is also exceptionally comfortable to play.

To enhance the authentic feel of guitars from the golden era, Iris Guitars goes a step further with an aged finish that gives the instruments a played-in feel. On this particular model, the back, sides, and neck are finished in a matte lacquer. To top it all off, Iris now offers the option of a more understated version of their signature logo on the headstock, a feature made possible in part by our very own Coen!

This instrument has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
