Lowden F50 African Blackwood Sinker Redwood 2020

The Lowden 50 Series is the very best Lowden has to offer, the crème de la crème. This custom-built F50 uses unique and spectacular Mastergrade African Blackwood for the back and sides and features ebony binding and a comfortable Armrest Bevel. But it doesn't stop there!

The top is made of Mastergrade Sinker Redwood. Sinker Redwood originates from California and is harvested from 1,000 to 2,000-year-old trees that have fallen naturally and been preserved underwater for centuries. The sound of this wood is breathtaking. The typical, recognizable piano-like Lowden sound is clearly distinguishable thanks to the unique warm, defined, and rich tonal palette of the African Blackwood!

Additionally, surrounding the soundhole, we find a beautiful rosette made of koa and abalone. The 5-piece mahogany/rosewood neck with 'GL Standard' shape meets the body at the 14th fret, while the ebony fingerboard continues its way across the top until it meets the soundhole with a beautiful curve.

This Lowden was built in 2020 and is hardly distinguishable from new, with only absolutely minimal signs of wear on the pickguard and back of the body. The Ameritage case ensures that you can store and transport your guitar worry-free.

This instrument has been carefully inspected for originality, condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
