Lowden Terz 50 Mahogany Red Cedar

Lowden’s extensive lineup covers virtually every body size suitable for any playing style. However, according to our own Rudi Bults, one essential model was missing: the Terz!

George Lowden and his team set to work, and this stunning Terz is the highly successful result. The mahogany body and cedar top create a beautiful combination of tonewoods. It also features signature TFOA rhododendron ornamentation, making this compact Lowden a fitting anniversary model to mark our 25th year in business.

The Lowden Terz is based on the compact Wee Lowden but features a shorter scale length of 550 millimeters. It also boasts the familiar specifications found on other Lowden models, such as the 5-piece mahogany/rosewood neck with a GL Standard profile, ebony binding with multi-line purfling, and a koa rosette with a mother-of-pearl ring.

What truly sets the Terz apart is its tuning; the guitar is tuned a minor third higher than a standard guitar. This higher register gives the instrument a bright, focused sound that beautifully complements guitar and vocal arrangements. All in all, the Lowden Terz is a small guitar capable of delivering a big performance!

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
