Martin Performing Artist DCPA3 2010

The Martin DCPA3 is part of Martin's Performing Artist series, a modern take on the classic dreadnought built with the stage in mind. This 2010 example pairs premium solid tonewoods with a comfortable cutaway and onboard electronics, making it a versatile workhorse for the gigging player.

The Performing Artist series was designed to bring Martin's renowned tone to the modern performer. The DCPA3 features a solid Sitka spruce top over solid East Indian rosewood back and sides with scalloped X bracing, giving the rich, full and resonant voice you expect from a rosewood dreadnought, with deep lows and clear, singing highs. The cutaway and slim oval Performing Artist neck make the upper frets easy to reach and the whole guitar fast and comfortable to play, while the Richlite fingerboard and bridge add to its durability.

A Fishman F1 Aura pickup system is built in, with Aura acoustic imaging and onboard controls for a natural, studio quality amplified tone, so it is ready to plug straight in on stage or in the studio.

This guitar has been well played and wears it honestly. There are scratches and light dings pretty much all over the top, and some glossiness is starting to appear on the back of the body where it has seen plenty of contact. None of it affects the playing: it still plays great and is fully functional. It comes with a hardshell case and a TFOA Passport.

This instrument has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
