In 2008, Martin celebrated its 175th anniversary, doing so fittingly with a series of special models including this beautiful D45. The D45 represents the absolute pinnacle of Martin's craftsmanship, and this Anniversary Edition adds an extra layer of exclusivity to it. The model combines the powerful projection and balanced tone of the classic dreadnought with the visual splendor befitting such a milestone.

The combination of a Sitka spruce top and an Indian rosewood back creates the signature Martin sound: clear, powerful, and with a beautiful balance between bass and treble. The scalloped X-bracing allows the top to resonate, resulting in an open and dynamic sound with excellent sustain. This Martin has signs of wear and dings on the body and neck, along with some more substantial dings on the top. A crack between the rosette and the binding on the bass side has been repaired and stabilized with a cleat, and a neck reset has been performed. A true player who, thanks to its built-in D-Tar pickup, can effortlessly bring his recorded sound to the stage!
