In addition to beautiful guitars, McIlroy also builds instruments deeply rooted in Celtic heritage, such as the Irish bouzouki. It is certainly not an everyday instrument, but its unique sound makes it indispensable in Irish folk music. And this bouzouki is even more special; it is McIlroy's first bouzouki with a rosewood body.

On March 6, 2000, Dermot McIlroy started his own company together with his wife Colleen, drawing on 21 years of experience in various roles within guitar building, including 10 years at Lowden. Today, he is assisted by his sons Damian and Niall, and the build and sound quality of McIlroy remains of the very highest standard.

As part of the 36 series, this bouzouki features an Italian Val di Fiemme spruce top with an Indian rosewood back. The five-piece neck consists of mahogany and rosewood, and is fitted with an ebony fingerboard and rosewood headstock. Here too, the fabulous finish captures the imagination; for instance, the 12th fret is adorned with a beautiful Celtic abalone inlay. Finally, the Gotoh SG381 tuning machines ensure a smooth tuning experience.

A beautiful instrument that will enchant you with its sound!
