This 2024 Nik Huber Piet pairs a swamp ash single cut finished in stunning Piet Gold with a distinctive pickup combination: a Broad-N in the neck position and a foil-covered P90 in the bridge.

Nik Huber has been building guitars in his workshop in Rodgau, near Frankfurt, since the 1990s. His small team produces only a limited number of instruments each year, and that meticulous approach is evident in the flawless craftsmanship and attention to detail found in every guitar.

While models such as the Orca and Krautster have become established favorites, the Piet is the more unconventional member of the family. This sleek single cut moves away from the traditional formula and follows its own path in terms of tonewoods, hardware, and electronics.

That individuality starts with the swamp ash body, a naturally lightweight tonewood that offers a more open and airy voice than the mahogany more commonly found on guitars of this style. The real surprise, however, lies in the electronics. The Broad-N neck pickup delivers a full, slightly darker sound with plenty of body for rich chords and warm lead tones, while the bridge-mounted foil-covered P90 provides a rawer, more biting counterpart. The Descendant tremolo also gives you smooth, expressive vibrato whenever you need it.

This 2024 Nik Huber remains exceptionally clean and is in excellent condition. It shows only minimal signs of playwear, primarily on the pickguard. It comes complete with its gig bag, certificate of authenticity, and TFOA Passport.
