The PRS 513 may well be one of the most versatile guitars Paul Reed Smith has ever built!

With its unique five-pickup system and two blade switches, this guitar offers no fewer than 13 different pickup combinations, ranging from classic single-coil sounds to thick humbucker tones. This 2011 513, featuring a stunning quilted maple top in a Black Gold finish, is a rare example of this now-discontinued model.

In 2004, PRS introduced the 513 as a revolutionary concept: a guitar capable of delivering both vintage single-coil tones and modern humbucker sounds without compromise. The model takes its name from the five specially designed single-coil pickups (four of which are mounted in pairs) and the 13 available pickup combinations. With a 25.25-inch scale length—slightly longer than the standard PRS scale—the 513 offers added twang and clarity.

The two blade switches make the system surprisingly easy to use: the five-way switch selects the pickup position as you’re used to, while the three-way switch lets you choose between Heavy Humbucker, Clear Humbucker, and Single Coil voicings. This puts everything from sparkling Strat-like tones to rich Les Paul sounds at your fingertips.

This 2011 PRS 513 looks exceptionally clean and is in excellent condition. It shows some signs of playwear on the back and a few small dings, with only minimal additional wear overall. Includes a hardshell case and TFOA passport.
