PRS John Mayer Silver Sky 2018 Tungsten

The PRS Silver Sky is the result of a close collaboration between John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith, combining the familiar feel of vintage single coil guitars with PRS’s attention to detail and modern craftsmanship. Inspired by Mayer and Smith’s favourite elements from 1963 and 1964 instruments, the Silver Sky offers a refined take on the classic electric guitar formula.

Every detail of the design has been carefully considered, from the inverted PRS headstock shape and locking vintage-style tuners to the comfortable neck profile and 7.25" radius fretboard. The steel tremolo system combines a familiar vintage design with PRS engineering, while the bridge setup provides a stable playing experience and strong acoustic response. A trio of 635JM single coil pickups delivers the unmistakable Silver Sky character, with a warm, full tone, clear articulation and a musical high end.

This 2018 example remains in excellent condition and shows only light signs of use. There is a ding on the left horn near the strap button, along with some scratches on the pickguard and minor playwear on the back of the body. The guitar remains remarkably clean overall and is ready for many more years of playing.
