Santa Cruz Don Edwards Cowboy Singer 2025

Specially developed by Richard Hoover and cowboy legend Don Edwards, this 12-fret 00 captures the spirit of the Old West. An all-mahogany 12-fret 00 with a deep, open tone that invites you to play for days.

If we don't keep telling the stories of the past, they will never be remembered. Don Edwards understood this and dedicated his life to keeping the lyrics and legends of the Wild West alive in the hearts and minds of America. In 2011, this beloved cowboy poet and ballad singer celebrated his 50th anniversary in the music world, and to commemorate that milestone Santa Cruz Guitar Company introduced the Don Edwards Signature Model.

Its all-mahogany back and sides give this Don Edwards Signature its characteristic openness and depth: every note exudes warmth, every stroke sounds clear and vibrant. It offers an exceptional balance of warmth, clarity and rich overtones, a tone that is both familiar and inspiring, ideal for fingerstyle and strumming alike.

Details like the ivoroid/tortoise/ivoroid rosette, understated black purfling and the beautiful custom sunburst exude quiet class. The gold Waverly tuners with snakewood buttons set the tone for an instrument that not only sounds like a classic, but looks like one too, while a lone star and Don Edwards' signature grace the fingerboard.

With its warmth, presence and refined complexity, this is the reliable companion you have always wanted.

This 2025 Santa Cruz Don Edwards is in excellent condition. It shows only very light scratches to the pickguard, back and headstock, and still looks exceptionally clean. It comes supplied in a hardshell case with a TFOA Passport.

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
