Scharpach Opus G Archtop Natural 2022

The Opus G is a fabulous archtop crafted by Theo Scharpach—an instrument that will truly enchant you with its sound! Theo Scharpach ranks among the very best European luthiers; over the course of 40 years, he has evolved into a master whose instruments are prized by professional guitarists worldwide.

First and foremost, this is an acoustic archtop, boasting powerful projection, clear note separation, and a warm, woody jazz tone. It is exceptionally responsive with a broad dynamic range, making it ideal for both chordal accompaniment and single-note playing. Thanks to its built-in humbucker, the guitar also excels when amplified—delivering a tone that is an absolute delight!

It features a German spruce top, with a body and neck crafted from beautifully figured maple, complemented by an ebony fretboard, headstock overlay, and pickguard. The guitar offers superb ergonomics, featuring a compound radius and stainless steel frets, while the Florentine cutaway ensures excellent access to the entire fretboard. The D’Aquisto-style soundholes, paired with gold-colored hardware, lend the instrument a remarkable sense of elegance.

This 2022 Scharpach is in excellent condition. There is an elongated ding between the two soundholes near the pickguard, and the finish on the pickguard has developed some glossy spots from play. The back of the body shows several small dings, but otherwise, the guitar remains in very clean condition. A magnificent instrument of the highest caliber!

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
