Stevens J-A Bearclaw Spruce Flamed Maple 2001

The Stevens J-A is a small jumbo with a 16.5-inch lower bout, and catches the eye with its beautiful flamed maple back and particularly beautiful bearclaw spruce top. But this guitar also stands out in terms of sound. It produces a grand volume with full bass, great clarity, and excellent balance. It is suitable for many playing styles, but it really shows what it can do with heavy strumming!

Stevens is a guitar builder from Munich that has been making exceptionally well-built instruments with great attention to detail since its founding in 1992. Stevens is known for building custom guitars like this fantastic J-A.

This Stevens was built at the beginning of this century, most likely in 2001. The guitar has signs of wear and dings on the top and back, along with multiple dings on the body bindings. A lacquer repair has been performed on the bass side of the fingerboard at the first fret, and the bridge plate has also been repaired. These are indications pointing to a beloved guitar that has been used for what it was built for; te be played!
