The Taylor 254ce Plus is a 12-string Grand Auditorium that combines a full, rich sound with the comfortable playability Taylor is known for. The torrefied spruce top provides plenty of volume, projection, and clarity, while the layered Indian rosewood back adds a warm foundation and great harmonic richness. The combination of these woods makes the 254ce Plus suitable for both fingerstyle and strumming, with the characteristic sparkling overtones of a 12-string guitar.

The Grand Auditorium body offers a pleasant balance between play comfort and a versatile sound. Thanks to the Venetian cutaway, the higher register is also easily accessible, while the Taylor Neck ensures a relaxed feel in the fretting hand. In addition to clarity, balance, and projection, the torrefiing of the spruce top gives the guitar extra warmth and a slightly broken-in character. The finish consists of a high-gloss lacquer on both the top and the back and sides, combined with black binding and a subtle faux pearl rosette.

For amplified use, the 254ce Plus is equipped with Taylor's Expression System 2, which, thanks to the design behind the bridge saddle, accurately captures the guitar's dynamics. The mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard contribute to the familiar playable feel, while the 25.5-inch scale length and 1 7/8-inch nut give the guitar a distinct 12-string identity. The Taylor 254ce Plus comes with a sturdy, padded gig bag, making it a versatile 12-string for home use as well as studio and stage.
