Taylor 522e 12-Fret 2014

This 2014 Taylor 522e 12-Fret combines an all-mahogany body with scalloped X-bracing. What makes this particular example special is an added Fishman pickup with its own output jack alongside the original Expression System 2, two independent tone sources in one guitar.

Taylor's 500 Series is loved for its mahogany back and sides, and the 522e 12-Fret goes a step further with an all-solid mahogany top, back, sides and neck. Where the standard Grand Concert has a 14-fret neck, this 12-fret version moves the bridge closer to the body's centre, letting the top move more freely and producing a surprisingly big, articulate voice for such a compact guitar. The scalloped X-bracing keeps the top responsive and lively, adding warmth and openness to the all-mahogany tone.

This 2014 Taylor shows only light playing wear, mostly across the body and pickguard, but otherwise still looks clean and remains in excellent condition. On top of the factory-fitted Expression System 2, this particular guitar has been fitted with an extra Fishman pickup and its own dedicated output, so you can run two independent signals, blend them across two channels, or keep one in reserve as a backup for live shows. It comes in a hardshell case with a TFOA passport.
