This Fender Custom Shop 1966 Jaguar Deluxe Closet Classic from the Time Machine series is a stunning rendition of one of Fender’s most distinctive offset models.

Finished in Aztec Gold with a matching headstock, the guitar features a Deluxe Closet Classic nitrocellulose finish, a treatment that allows the Custom Shop to replicate the look of a meticulously preserved mid-60s Jaguar. Beneath the finish lies a two-piece alder body paired with a quartersawn maple neck and a historically accurate round-laminated rosewood fretboard, complete with binding and dot inlays.

The playing experience is defined by the 24-inch scale length and the slim 'C' neck profile. Combined with a flatter 9.5-inch fretboard radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets, the guitar offers a smooth, responsive feel, while the short scale gives the Jaguar its unique response and comfortable string tension. Two Fender Custom Shop ’62 Jaguar single-coil pickups deliver the tone: bright, sparkling, and highly dynamic, offering that signature blend of bite and spaciousness that makes these pickups ideal for genres like surf, indie, and alternative rock. Built in 2022 as part of the Fender Custom Shop Time Machine series, this Jaguar is virtually indistinguishable from a brand-new instrument. While the subtle relic finish makes it difficult to spot signs of play, one thing is certain: this beautiful guitar is very clean!
