Brondel A1c Adirondack Cocobolo Arched 2010

Laurent Brondel was born and raised in Paris. Before becoming a luthier, he worked for almost 20 years as a professional musician and sound engineer. In 1999 he went to the US where he trained as a luthier with master Luthier Dana Bourgeois. After several years of learning from the master, the technically gifted builder Laurent Brondel started his own workshop where he started building his own remarkable guitars in relatively small production. Laurent Brondel's guitars were immediatly recognized as being remarkable.

Laurent Brondel uses a technique that is very labor intensive, since he slightly arches tops and backs, creating a very strong and stable construction that allows him to use thinner decks, ensuring that the sound of his guitar is more than impressive. The attack, responsiveness, projection and balance of his guitars are reminiscent of that of Ryan Guitars, although the character is clearly more 'western' or- is classic American. The body shape is also noteworthy, the width and depth is that of an average dreadnought, but the guitar feels much smaller due to the 'arch' and tailing of the guitar. Laurent combines classic proven techniques combined to improvements, for example he uses hide glue for all his joints an oil varnish as finish that makes the wood much more responsive. His guitars are Impressive in every way.

Beautiful guitar in very nice used condition with only minor signs of wear. The guitar comes with a Calton Case.
