Brook Taw Orchestra Model Indian Rosewood Sitka 2002

Brook Guitars produce high quality handmade acoustic guitars in a rural workshop on the edge of Dartmoor in the South West of England. After spending a number of years working with Andy Manson, one of the country’s longest standing and most respected luthiers, Simon Smidmore and Andy Petherick formed Brook Guitars.

This Shortscale Orchestra Model has a surprisingly loud and full tonal range, it's a model that would be fancied by both fingerstylists and bluespickers. Constructionally and even in sound, it can be considered a great blend of the characteristics of European and American made guitars. It's constructed out of straight grained Indian Rosewood and it features a Sitka Spruce soundboard. It features Maple top braces but mahogany back braces, that add a warm and soft sound character to the loud and articulate sound palet. The body bindings are walnut and the the guitar is appointed with an elegant offset herringbone purfling and maple trim. The Mahogany neck features a rounded V shape and a volute that hightlights the craftmanship of this luthier. It's in very good condition with some dings on the sides and bindings and minor traces of use on the front and back.
