Fender Stratocaster Purple Burst Refin 1979

With 70s Fender Stratocasters it's always a "hit or a miss", we can assure you that this one is a hit! What makes the Stratocasters from this time so unique (besides of course the three-point neck joint) is the weight, this Strat weighs 4.35kg. This is definitely an advantage, because it gives the guitar a lot of sustain and therefore feels and sound more like a Les Paul than regular Strats.

Despite the extra sustain, this Strat sounds exactly as she should sound, in the fourth position she's still as sharp and "funky" as you would want. The middle- and bridge pickup are original, the neck pickup is newer. The electronics are otherwise entirely original except for the volume pot which has been replaced. Now to adress the elephant in the room; the Purple Burst refin. The inspiration for the color probably came from the popular Blade RH4 guitars which were all the rage. The refin has been done so good that it almost looks original. It might not be for everyone, but we dig it! The neck also has a few small spots with overspray.

Furthermore this guitar is in excellent condition for her age with of course the expected playwear and signs of use, but overal cleaner than most 79-ers thanks to the refin.

70s Stratocasters are very popular with the public; they sound good, play well and have their own character and feel in comparison with other Stratocasters. They are "player-grade" vintage guitars, although they are also great guitars to buy as investment and get started on the vintage market with. Includes newer hardshell case.
