Gelas Style Maestro Bouzouki 1977

Gelas Style Maestro Bouzouki from 1977. Lucien Gélas was a luthier, classical guitarist, and teacher. Gélas is well known for inventing and patenting a guitar design which uses a double top: It is often called a Gélas guitar, or a double-top guitar (or double-resonance-guitar) and was common in the first half of the 20th century.

He also applied this principle when building other stringed instruments like mandolins. This bouzouki from 1977 made by the Maestro workshop (not by Gelas himself!) features a maple body, spruce double top, v-shaped 3-part maple/mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard and bridge and brass saddle. 425mm scale length, 34mm nutwidth. Condition is Very Good; nice and clean with expected playwear and signs of use.
