Gibson Chet Atkins 1989

Chester Burton Atkins, known as "Mr. Guitar" and "The Country Gentleman", not to mention one of the founders of the country music style known as the Nashville sound. This sound made country music more appealing and accessible to adult pop music fans. He was known as a guitarist, but he also played mandolin, violin, banjo and ukulele.

This pre-owned crossover Gibson Chet Atkins has a classical look, but is very solid and compact. It is in very good condition, has some traces of use and playwear, some dents on the top, some lacquer chips along the binding.

The body is crafted of solid mahogany back and sides, a solid spruce top decorated with a classic intricate rosette. The neck is also made of mahogany and has a classic profile. Furthermore, this crossover has an ebony fingerboard, a slotted headstock with a beautiful rosewood headstock overlay, rosewood bridge and golden machine heads.

The piezo element under the saddle allows the classic nylon tone to be superbly amplified. The included feedback buster, the thin, but solid body of this instrument facilitate the whole package and make this guitar a reliable, compact, pleasantly playing instrument. This guitar travels in the beautiful original Gibson case with velvet interior.
