Gibson J55 R Limited Edition 1995

When it was released, the J55 carried on the tradition of Gibson round-shoulder acoustic instruments. It was one of four Jumbo guitars offered by Gibson in the 1930's, becoming extremely sought after decades after its original release.

This is a 1995 Limited Edition Model. Made in Bozeman, Montana, this is number 40 of the 250 made.

The rosewood body is paired with a spruce top with a sunburst finish. The sound is extremely full and deeply resonant with a solid bass and a sparkling high end. Other notable features include the moustache bridge, firestripe pickguard and 'stair step' headstock.

It is in very good condition with the expected playwear and signs of use on the body and neck. Small traces in the lacquer can be found on the top, around the bridge and on the headstock. Includes a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
