Gibson LG3 Natural 1959

The LG3 model was introduced in 1942 alongside the LG1 and LG2. These guitars were seen as student guitars, because of the smaller shape. Not entirely justified, because the LG2 and LG3 are excellent guitars that are equipped with X-bracing instead of the ladder bracing of the LG1. This greatly improves the sound of the guitar.

The LG3 is basically the same guitar as the LG2, but has a natural finish instead of a sunburst. The guitar features a Sitka spruce top and a mahogany body and neck. The guitar is very well playable due to its shorter length and compact size, and the dynamic and responsive sound of the guitar immediately stands out.

This Gibson LG3 from 1959 has several repaired cracks on the top and the back of the body, along with weather checking and playwear that are to be expected with an instrument of this age. The guitar has also had a neck reset and refret, but still has the original tuners and bridge.

The guitar comes with TFOA passport in a hardshell case.
