Gibson Southern Jumbo SJ Sunburst 1952

1952 Gibson Southern jumbo in sunburst, in really very good, excellent vintage condition, with original sunburst. Featuring mahogany back and sides with spruce top, SJ style multi-bonded top, bound back, original pickguard, double parallelogram fingerboard inlays that still hold the original frets. The guitar has never had a neck reset, and does not need it for the time being, given the large amount of saddle on the original bridge. Bound rosewood fingerboard with original frets, sunburst finish, the neck is a comfortable medium profile C-shaped neck, typical of the 1950s which are among the best sounding guitars from the SJ legacy to my taste, full, dynamic, warm, rich and beautiful as accompaniment instrument. The typical Gibson dry woody tone character is of course unmistakable and only found in old Gibson guitars, a magical experience for me every time I pick them up. And this is a winner for sure. We have re-glued some Braces, but otherwise it is a guitar without issues and with a magical sound, the case is typical of the fifties, but not original Gibson
