Gretsch Custom Shop USA G6120 WCST Stephen Stern 2005

Senior Master Builder Stephen Stern officially took charge of custom design and production in 2005. With a small crew, a small workshop was set up in the Fender factory in Corona, California: the Gretsch Custom Shop was born. This stunning G6120 Masterbuilt is one of the first crafted by Stephen Stern.

The first year of production of the G6120 was in 1955, this is a great reincarnation, built by hand and one of Stern's top projects. The Orange Stain back and sides, made of laminated maple and so is the top, which is according to Gretsch' signature, beautiful decorated with golden hardware, multiple trim, F-holes with trim, cream body bindings and last but not least: the golden Bigsby tremolo with fixed arm.

The maple neck has a C profile, topped with a rosewood fingerboard with the characteristic Western Motif, mother-of-pearl inlay. The playability of this guitar is therefore overwhelming. An aluminum nut, the parallel bracing and the SD DynaSonic DeArmond pickups make this guitar regarding to the sound: pleasantly warm, crystal clear and resonant.

It's the golden Luthier's touch that make this guitar a musthave in terms of sound, appearance and playability. This Gretsch Masterbuilt comes in an original Gretsch 'Cowboy' case, with certificate of authenticity and case candy.
