Gibson J-200 Sunburst Ex Douwe Bob 1967

Gibson J-200 Sunburst made in 1967 previously owned by Douwe Bob, see pictures! This is about the nicest, cleanest and best sounding vintage J-200 in our shop. For strumming this is probably the utmost best strumming guitar in the world. But it has to be said, Jumbo models are also most suitable for fingerstyle blues, and I know of many bluegrass players who use the J200 for Flat-picking since the tone is truly one of a kind. This is probably the guitar you would choose if you were allowed to one guitar only for the rest of your life. Anyway, you will have a hard time finding a finer 1967 J-200 anywhere in the world.

This guitar features the dark cherry sunburst faded a little but the colour is still strong, The flame maple back and sides are beautifully flamed, and so is the 5 piece gorgeous flamed neck, with a full round carve, the bindings and purfling are intact, and also the original pickguard is truly nice condition. The set up is spot on, with excellent with low action. there is one repaired soundhole crack, but otherwise the condition is perfect. Features include: multiple bound body and headstock, with pearl Gibson logo and crown inlay,  Full cherry sunburst finish, meaning not only the top, but also the sides, the and the back of the neck are finished in sunburst, moustache bridge with 4 pearl block inlays,  The drop in bone saddle replaces the adjustable saddle that was originally on the guitar, original bone nut, gold Grover rotomatic replacement tuners.  645mm (25.4") scale length, 43mm(1 11/16") width at the nut.
