Gibson Firebird III sunburst refin 1965

The Gibson Firebird was one of the most radical instruments the world has ever seen. The Firebird was introduced in 1963 by Gibson, when they let a car designer (called Ray Dietrich) do some designing work on the Firebird. His conventional idea was inspired by the famous Explorer, introduced 5 years earlier by Gibson. This specific Firebird in sunburst finish was made in 1965 and features a mahogany neck-through-body construction with two mahogany side wings, original white pickguard with Firebird logo, two original mini humbucking pickups, original bridge and tremolo tailpiece, 2x volume, 2x tone, 3-way switch, bound rosewood fretboard with dot inlays and original banjo style tuners. Original condition except for refin sunburst finish and routing under pickguard. Pots pickups hardware and plastics are original, Includes nice old hard case.
