George Lowden Luthier Classical BRW-CED 1991

I was never able to find one before, but over the last 3 years this is the 4th George Lowden Luthier guitars popping up. And i can tell you there aren't many that are made by George personally. The story: In 1974 George Lowden began making guitars professionally and his famous workshop makes several hundreds of guitars every year. But George Lowden also makes a small number of acoustic and concert classic guitars each year for personal clients. They are Called "George Lowden luthier" guitars, and this is one of them. Obviously he has a very long waiting list of numurous years and back in 1996 George decided to stop advertising since his waiting list had outgrown any reasonable length. This guitar made in 1991, features: Brazilian rosewood mastergrade back and sides from natural fallen trees, (CITES Included) beautiful evenly grained Cedar top, Honduras mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard and matching Brazilian rosewood bridge and headstock overlay. 650mm (25.5") scale length, 52mm Nut width, beautifully marquetry rosette, Rodgers tuners, and detailing typical for George Lowden with many fine wood inlays details.

The sound of this magnificent George Lowden Luthier concert classical guitar is distinct and deep, with a robust bass response, rich overall response. This is a strong and powerful sounding guitar, and typical for George Lowden guitar with the certain clarity to the tone that sets it apart, with strong trebles, clear and focused single tones, the sustain is long and the punch and projection are grand.

The Condition of the guitar is near mint, with the beautiful typical George Lowden satin finish is in like new condition. There is no fret-wear or any hidden issues, except or surface crack in the back, not through the wood and repaired and one small nail surface ding keeps it from being like new. The set up and playability are excellent with 4mm action at the 12th (low E) and 3mm action at the 12th (high E). A true masterpiece gem. The Guitar travels in a orignal Lowden case.
For your information: The Base price these days starts around €15000 euro, (Honduras or Madagascar rosewood back and sides, cedar or spruce mastergrade) Brazilian rosewood is at least a €6500 upgrade counting this guitar to approx 21K Euro guitar.

Includes TFOA's unique '1 year used Guitar warranty' that takes the risk out of buying used guitars!
