Gretsch Resonator Sunburst 1930s Made by Dobro

At the middle of the depression in the mid-1930s, National/Dobro began to license Chicago based Regal to create wood bodies fitted with a resonator. These instruments bore many names like Dobro, Regal, but also Gretsch. This specific instrument is basically a Regal Model 19 with a Gretsch logo on the headstock. It features a single cone setup, bound laminated maple body with two f-holes, 12-fret poplar neck, ebony fretboard, slotted headstock with pearloid headstock overlay bearing the Gretsch logo, and 3-on-a-plate tuners. The instrument has newer frets and a newer cone (original included). Condition is excellent with expected signs of use. Sounds absolutely amazing with a loud, dry and full sound. Also features a handmade Thomas Grassl Flatbucker pickup. Travels in a gigbag.
