Martin D-21JC limited Jim Croce 2000

Martins tribute to American Singer Songwriter Jim Croce who tragically died in a plane crash in 1973. Martin has done a wonderful job of incorporating history and detail into this commemorative model. They have produced only 73 of these guitars in honor of the year of Jim's death. Martin Guitar tastefully incorporated a 1973 dime into the third fret of the Jim Croce guitar, the inspiration for this was the line from Jim's song Operator, "You can keep the dime". Other features include Indian rosewood back and sides, a sitka spruce top, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard and bridge, mahogany neck, grover tuners and hand signed label inside the soundhole. Numbered 14 out of 73. With Ingrid Croce- and CF Martin IV's signature on the label, as wel as Jim Croce signature inlaid on the fretboard between 18th and 19th fret. Condition is excellent with some repaired lacquer damage on the top near the pickguard and several shallow marks in the finish primarily on the back of the instrument. Includes original hardshell case and certificate.
